Facebook Payment Method Updates

Hey All,

Hope you’re doing good.

Today I’m gonna give details on

Facebook Payment Method

I am doubtful that how many people are aware about the Facebook offices available in India. I am writing here to update you about the Facebook payment methods.

Previously, the first office of Facebook was launched in Hyderabad 2010. Later on in the year 2016, the office was launched in Mumbai as well. Now Facebook offices are located in Hyderabad, Mumbai & Gurgaon.

In these many years we were assisted by Facebook team from India and many of us thought they were calling us from all over Ireland but it’s not only handled from India.

Well, it’s 100% true that our Facebook ad account billing was managed from Ireland but since the time GST has regulated in India our government has legalised 18% GST deduction for all accounts who are in business with facebook and we started getting billed 18% tax in our facebook ads invoice.

We are also billed 2% TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) as per the local law but incase you are already making that payment to government then you can provide TDS certificate from the government as evidence of payment to facebook. After that TDS amount will be reimbursed in the form of coupon in your ad account.

In this period facebook started migrating all the Indian accounts which was getting managed from Ireland to India Facebook for deduction of 18% GST.

To explain you all in simple language regarding the payment deduction. Ireland bank had no issue to authorize international transaction. Ad accounts were auto permitted to deduct the amount from the attached Debit Card.

The important update is that Indian billings ain’t managed by Ireland banks. Hence, the payment method has completely shifted to local structure.

That means there is no authorization from the bank untill you enable your card for auto debit. So, incase you are getting an error by facebook in payment methods that payment is not supported.

Kindly contact your bank and ask for recurring payment activation to xyz (Facebook) source. If you have GST registered business ensure that your card is also white listed for GST deduction.
